A ‘Ghar Wapsi Sammelan’ convened in New Delhi adopted a resolution to intensify the ‘ghar wapsi’ campaign nationwide. Representatives from more than 25 organisations from across Bharat participated, underscoring broad-based civic engagement and a shared commitment to cultural continuity and social cohesion.
The resolution affirmed a framework that centers voluntary, lawful, and dignified pathways for cultural and spiritual reconnection. Emphasis was placed on unity among dharmic traditions—Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism—so that outreach remains inclusive, dialogic, and rooted in mutual respect. In this understanding, ‘ghar wapsi’ is articulated as a compassionate, consent-driven homecoming to ancestral dharmic identities, never a matter of coercion or social pressure.
Deliberations focused on strengthening community outreach, heritage education, and interfaith dialogue that promote harmony and understanding. Participants highlighted the importance of transparent communication, ethical practices, and service-led initiatives that address local needs while fostering trust across communities. Such measures aim to reinforce social unity and safeguard the diversity that characterizes Bharat’s civilisational ethos.
Representatives from the participating organisations shared field experiences and collaborative strategies designed to scale impact responsibly. These included knowledge-sharing platforms, volunteer training, and community partnerships that uphold personal choice and constitutional values. The gathering also stressed the use of data-informed reviews to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
By adopting this resolution, the Sammelan signaled renewed momentum and clarity of purpose. The event’s tone was measured yet hopeful, reflecting a collective belief that cultural reconnection can proceed in a manner that strengthens unity in diversity, nurtures social peace, and affirms the fundamental dignity of every individual and community across Bharat.
